Hi, I'm Katie!

I believe great design isn’t just about looking good; it’s about making an impact. With a background in graphic design and sustainable urban design, I explore how visual communication and the built environment intersect to create experiences, spaces, and touchpoints that connect dynamically to human needs and behaviors.

I am a MFA candidate in the Graduate School of Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California, as well as a MsC candidate for Smart and Sustainable Cities in Dublin, Ireland. While I currently live in Dublin and have spent most of my adult life in San Francisco, I am a native Kansan and spent all of my childhood living in Topeka, Kansas and  frequenting the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library. This thesis combines my passion for design with my love of reading, libraries, and my hometown, enabling me to create solutions that reconnect adults with the incredible value of public library systems.

Say hello!
Send me a note and I’ll get back to you soon.
